Hi, I’m Chava Schneider,
Some people grow up with music in the background. I grew up with it at the center.
Raised in Manhattan by two professional musicians, music was the heartbeat of our home. By age 13, I was already performing in cafes. By 17, I was out on my own, touring across the country, recording albums, and playing to crowds of thousands in places like Radio City, Music Hall and Maple Leaf Gardens.
And then I walked away from all of it.
Becoming frum changed everything. I stepped out of the spotlight and into something more meaningful, something real. I found depth in a life of Torah, and joy in bringing music into Yiddishkeit. And with it, I found my true calling: teaching girls and women how to express their neshama through music.
For over 25 years, I’ve taught thousands of students; from six-year-olds children to 70-year-old bubbies! I’ve taught in many schools, camps, workshops, and private lessons. I’ve worked with shy girls, sensitive souls, neurodivergent kids, super musical, or total beginners. My goal is always the same: help each one feel confident, connected, and uplifted by what she can do.

Do I need to be musical to do this?

What age is this for?
Teen girls and women of all ages. Chava has taught students from age 6 to 70.
What if I can’t sing?
You don’t need to be a singer, but you’ll learn how to carry a tune and find your voice.
How long is the course?
